Applications to teach a Wave Seminar are OPEN!
Are you interested in teaching a topic you love to motivated students around the world? Apply to be an instructor at Wave Learning Festival! Past Wave instructors have taught classes from “Counting Infinities” to “Hip-Hop and Social Activism”, and so much more.
As an Engaged Seminars instructor, you will teach a seminar of your choice that runs for two to three weeks. Each group of seminars are called “Waves.”
In each of our Engaged Seminars, we are looking for an element of interactivity to promote active learning — the course should be discussion-based. Your class will meet about 2 - 3 times/week for a duration of 2 weeks, either during the week or on the weekend. This structure will give you more time to dig deeper into a topic that excites you, allowing your students to obtain a greater depth of knowledge. We encourage instructors to bring co-instructors (double the ideas, half the work!), though that is optional. Regardless of whether you onboard a co-instructor, you will have support throughout your course planning process: a member of our Seminars team will guide you through teaching in a virtual setting and help with course-planning.
